About the Project
*L.O.V.E.* (*Let's Overdose Very Ethically*) is a top-down drifting game where you play as a hippie trying to escape from the police while getting high with fellow hippies throughout the city.
The game was made by a team of six people during a school project.
I was the project manager and one of the programmers on the team. It was quite a challenge to make sure everyone had what they needed to do their job and that we were all on the same page.
This was the first time I realised how much I enjoy project management and team management.
What I Learned
The smaller the scope of the project, the more “fun” extra features you can add.
For example, the graffiti that sprays around the van, the hallucination effect, tire tracks, rainbow smoke, and so on.
These features were not part of the original scope of the project, but because we kept the scope small and manageable, we had time to add these fun extras.
