What I'm learning:
TLDR: For me this project is a playground to know how it is to publish a game,
going through the entire process from start to finish.
This project is a team effort, I gathered a small group of people who want to learn about game development in a safe and supportive environment.
The biggest 2 things I'm learning right now is how to keep the team motivated while also keeping the community engaged.
The game started of as an overscopped 1st person open world story based puzzle game with multiplayer minigames.
After realising the scope was way too big, I gathered this group of people with wildly varying experience.
Some have never touched anything game dev related, others are very expirienced with sound design or are enrolled in a game dev university.
Together we brainstormed from the core idea of the game and came up with a way more fun and feasible game.
We are currently working on a small prototype to which we plan to start playtesting around November 2025.
About the project
Old project
This project is my playground to test and learn things.
I am currently working on a small prototype to experiment with community management, marketing and publishing.
The goal is to create a cozy cute game about Lucy in her lucid dreams where she helps her friends and family overcome their fears and problems.
The game started of as an overscopped 1st person open world story based puzzle game with multiplayer minigames.
After realising the scope was way too big, I gathered a group of people with wildly varying experience.
Some have never touched anything game dev related, others are very expirienced with sound design or are enrolled in a game dev university.
Together we brainstormed from the core idea of the game and came up with a way more fun and feasible game.
The new idea became a 3D sidescroller puzzle game where Lucy navigates through her and her friends' dreams to help them overcome their fears.
